be of some help to you. We however accept no responsibility for
any content of these sites. We try to view each site before we
have a link exchange with them. We do want you to receive what
we feel is sound advise but cannot control other any site's content.
If you are interested in submitting a site for a link exchange
please submit it here Links. We
will view your site and let you know when we have linked with
yours. It may take anywhere from three days to two weeks, depending
on the availability to view your site. We do not do free link
exchanges with sites that are commercial in nature. We placed
our link exchange on our site to help our visitors find information
to help them with their illnesses, but due to an increase in requests
from commercial sites to do a link exchange we feel it necessary
to change our policy on this matter. If your site sells a product
or service, you can Contact Us at
to discuss advertising or a paid link. As anyone knows these sites
take money to run and in order to keep our site free for our visitors
we feel it necessary to charge commercial sites to advertise for
them.

| Action the stigma |
| I am writing to you from the UK as a representative of a user led initiative that concerns the broadcast of a mental health podcast- from a user perspective.
There is, as you are probably aware a huge gap in the media both in the UK and abroad of a broadcast that is on a grand stage that represents the arena of mental health in a positive light.
Concurrent to this, although there are groups that are forming that stand to band together to “fight” the stigma, I do feel that in terms of action very little is being achieved. – hence the need for a project such as this that will act on the stigma and go in some way to raise awareness in this field.
The mental health podcast and its formation has been borne as an answer to the challenges we face today. Our ultimate goal is to see this show or in fact any show to be commissioned by producers such as the BBC, who incidentally are home to the disability podcast “Ouch”. There seems no reason why a mental health podcast could not have centre stage and will in turn start the ball rolling to challenge the stigma.
The project itself, is in research and development stage, and I am really keen to provide a broadcast that fills the need for an audience that a show like this would appeal to. For this reason we have created a questionnaire which is currently being circulated by Mental Health Media. We have also started a poll/petition online independently and through facebook to rally support to get the BBC to commission a Mental health Podcast.
The project itself has a broad timeline and we are not looking to broadcast until late 2008/early 2009.
We are in comparison to yourselves a small outfit, consultancy is managed by Socialspider who have kindly rallied to my support. They currently produce a fantastic magazine called 1 in Four.
My request to the your organisation follows:
1. Is there any chance of communicating to your members to ask them if they would be willing to complete a questionnaire and poll for the formation of the podcast.
2. Would there be any members interested in getting involved and teaming with us to produce an show with international scope?
